Blue and Heather time!!

Campbell stayed with her Oma and Opa this weekend so Blue and I 1) had a lot of fun going on a couple of dates and to a couple of weddings on Saturday and 2) tried to play it cool but really missed our little girl like crazy. Her Oma is bringing her back tomorrow and we are super excited to hug her. But while we missed her, we had so much fun together this weekend!! On Friday we went and did a little bit of hiking at Table Rock after I got off work and then stopped at this cute little place called Aunt Sue's to get some ice cream and listen to the blue grass band they had playing. It was seriously a scene you can only find in the country :) I love it. Then on Saturday we had 2 weddings to go to (which I was completely fine with because I love going to weddings) and we capped the weekend off with a dinner date tonight. We had so much fun! It was so weird to just sit at a booth and slowly enjoy my chips and salsa from Chili's (that's right, I said it, chips and salsa from CHILI'S - my favorite) and not be continually bending down to the floor to pick up whatever my daughter has thrown down on it or to not be inhaling my food as quickly as possible so that we can head out the exit before Campbell reaches her limit in the high chair. We seriously did not know what to do with ourselves. We actually got to eat slowly!! Do ya'll hear this??? We had a date with adult conversation! But if we are being honest, I think we both sat there and looked adoringly at the cute little kids that were seated around us and were just reminded about how much we miss our little girl. Man, I hope she gets a good nights rest because she is going to be WORN OUT from hugs and kisses tomorrow night.

In case I haven't told everybody today, I really, really love my husband. I am so thankful for him. And I am so thankful for family members that will watch our little girl for us for the weekend so that we can enjoy some Mommy and Daddy time. We had such a great weekend together! Monday morning is approaching way to early........

Campbell turned 1!!!!

I am not even going to try to make an excuse for taking this long to update this blog. Moving on..........:)
Well, our little Campbell Brooke is now 1 year old!! Where in the world has the time gone?!?! She is now walking ALL OVER the place, which has definitely made things a lot busier for Blue and I :) We had her 1st birthday party at our church on July 31st and then saved a big ol' cupcake that her Oma (german word for grandmother) made her to eat on her actual birthday, which was August 5th. Unfortunately, she wasn't feeling to good at her birthday party - but hopefully she still had a good time :) She was a little timid toward her birthday cake at the party but showed no fear diving into it at home on the 5th.

First Campbell needed to check out the cake.....
...then she got a little more into it.

We tried so hard to get a good family picture but we were never able to get one with Campbell looking at the camera. Is she checking out her nails in this one??

Once she knew what this whole cake thing was about she was all about it. Here she is on her actual birthday at home.

Here Campbell is rockin' her birthday shirt.....

and wait..............there's more!!!!!.......

My sister, Amber, gave birth to my ADORABLE niece, Lily Morgan!! Ya'll seriously, she is so stinkin' cute!!!! I love, love, love her. She was born on June 23rd and is a precious and healthy baby girl. Amber and Brian are doing great and Madison is super excited to have a little sister! I thank the Lord that I live close so that I was able to be at the hospital for the delivery. I actually got to be in the room with Brian and Amber when Lily was born!

The birth of Lily and Campbell's birthday have been the big milestones over the past several months. Other than that it has just been the same busy day-to-day life. I have been busy with work and keeping things managed and in order at home and Blue has been super busy with church, school and keeping ME managed and in order :)
